Where Community Begins
Sweetgum Learning Center is a Reggio-inspired Christian learning community serving children from preschool through elementary. We nurture the academic, spiritual, social, and emotional development of each child within a Christ-centered environment where relationships and curiosity guide learning.
We believe every child is created by God with purpose and inherent worth. Our faith shapes our daily practices and is woven naturally into school life through kindness, stewardship, service, and care for others.
Guided by the Reggio Emilia approach, we view children as capable learners who grow through play, exploration, collaboration, and meaningful experiences. Classrooms are thoughtfully designed to invite creativity, inquiry, and engagement, with educators serving as guides who support each child’s development.
In preschool, learning is grounded in play and hands-on discovery while building strong foundations. As children grow, instruction becomes more structured and purposeful, supporting academic growth while honoring how children learn best.
We partner closely with families to support each child’s growth and prepare confident, compassionate learners grounded in faith and a love of learning.
